Since the mid-1990s, we have been working with communities across the country to establish free community-based health care clinics for the uninsured. We are the only national nonprofit dedicated to assisting communities in developing free clinics.
The unique VIM model emphasizes the use of retired health care professionals and community volunteers while promoting the Culture of Caring, the heart and soul of a VIM clinic. Rooted in the ethical standard of medicine that treats every person with dignity and respect, it is our believe that the way a person is treated during a visit to a VIM clinic is as important as the medical care they receive.
